Professor Peter Inetiabor Aziba, is a Professor of smooth muscle (vascular and non vascular) pharmacology. His research is focused on drugs interactions with excitable cells, in order to elucidate the mechanisms of actions drug-receptor interactions.
His accomplishments in this regard afforded him opportunities to work in leading laboratories outside the shores of Nigeria. Between 2004 – 2008, He was invited and appointed a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of Medicinal Plants(SIRMP) University of Swaziland in Southern Africa. The terms of contrct was to establish a bio – assay laboratory unit for the Institute and also mentor graduate students. He received a commendation award from the university at the expiration of his contract.
