Education lends itself to human capital development and nation-building. However, reeling from recurring industrial action, the tertiary segment of Nigeria's education sector continues to struggle to make it's anticipated contribution to national development. Issues besetting government-owned tertiary institutions include poor funding and lack of autonomy.
To help us make sense of these issues and search for a way forward, the Dominican Institute Ibadan hereby invites everyone to the April edition of her Intellectual Evening Talk Series titled "ASUU STRIKE - THE STATE OF EDUCATION IN NIGERIA TODAY AND BEYOND 2023 ELECTIONS."
This event is scheduled to take on Thursday, April 28, 2022, by 7 pm WAT via Zoom shall have Prof. Emmanuel Osodeke, National President of the Academic Staff Union of Universities as the speaker and Prof. Pat Utomi as the panelist.

Priestly Life and Ministry (PLM) workshop is a programme that draws its inspiration from the Post-Synodal Apostolic Exhortation of Pope Saint John Paul II, Pastores Dabo Vobis, a document that speaks to the question of the formation of priests in our contemporary context. Observing the interconnectedness of the four areas of priestly formation, namely human formation (the basis of all priestly formation), spiritual, intellectual, and pastoral formations, John Paul II exhorts agents of priestly formation and the candidates for priestly ministry especially to offer “heartfelt cooperation to this work of formation” (no. 69).
